The Wilberforce Trust supports people with sight loss and other disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals. We are seeking a proactive and organised Administrative Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality administrative support across the organisation.

The Role
The Administrative Assistant will provide efficient and professional administrative support to teams across the Trust. The successful candidate will be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail, and be confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to departments across the Trust.
- Prepare, format and proofread documents, reports, presentations and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems, ensuring information is kept up to date.
- Input, update and manage data with a high level of accuracy.
- Support meeting administration, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes and distributing minutes.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Support colleagues with administrative projects and process improvements.
- Handle confidential information appropriately and in line with data protection requirements.
- Undertake other reasonable administrative duties as required.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and positive approach to work.
- Comfortable handling confidential information.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within the charity, healthcare or not-for-profit sector.
- Previous experience in an administrative, office support or coordinator role.
- Experience maintaining databases or CRM systems.
- Understanding of accessibility requirements and inclusive communication practices.
