Due to continued growth, we're seeking a Joinery Estimator to join our Commercial and Contracts department. This is an office-based role in Poole, Dorset, with site visits as required to suit client and project needs.
We’re particularly interested in individuals with experience in interior fit-out and high-end project delivery. If you come from fast-track fit-out or commercial construction and are eager to grow, get hands-on, and take ownership of challenges from start to finish, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a hands-on role offering exposure across estimating, surveying, and contract control, working closely with Project Managers, Directors, and Clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess tender enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
- Carry out quantity take-offs and issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Analyse subcontractor and supplier returns and identify labour, material, and time requirements.
- Attend site visits and tender meetings where required.
- Prepare and submit tenders in line with deadlines and company procedures.
- Contribute to value engineering and alternative construction solutions to enhance commercial advantage.
- Support post-tender handover and assist with commercial control during project delivery.
- Liaise closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication throughout.
