We’re really excited to be recruiting a General Manager for our Porthcawl café. As the business grows, we’re stoked to bring in a fresh perspective to help keep standards high, support the team, and continue improving everything we do.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role in a (very) fast-paced speciality coffee environment. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the café, leading from the front and working with our Head Chef & Head of Coffee in maintaining our standards for coffee & brunch quality, customer service, and team organisation.
You’ll be working with an established team of talented baristas and front-of-house staff, helping to create a fantastic space for both customers and colleagues.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, motivating, and developing the team
- Delivering consistently excellent coffee and warm, genuine hospitality
- Overseeing daily operations including rotas, stock control, and ordering
- Keeping the café organised, clean, and running smoothly
- Communicating clearly and confidently - from customer interactions to dialling in coffee
- Spotting opportunities to improve systems, standards, and the overall café experience
About You
- Energetic, organised, and detail-oriented
- Genuinely interested in people and great customer service
- A big appetite for coffee and food, with a passion for quality
- Comfortable in a busy, high-volume environment
- A strong communicator who leads by example
Salary & Contract
- £30,000–£31,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Full-time role (40 hours per week)
- Based at Corner Coffee, Porthcawl
