Night Trunk HGV Class 1 Driver
Working pattern: Monday to Friday nights – start and finish times to be advised.

The company is known for excellent and flexible all round services offered to customers, and the driving operation is key to this service.
Your role would entail going to either southern hub ( Welywn Garden City) or Central hub in ( Wolverhampton ) with a double decker full of freight, you would unload and then get reloaded with freight to come back to AFFA for the day drivers to deliver. On some occasions you may be required to double run.

Schedule:
- 10 hour night shift ( 60 minute unpaid break.)
Requirements of Class 1 Driver
- Must hold a full UK licence for a minimum of 2 years
- 2 years + professional Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Have a digi tacho card and hold a CPC qualification card
Responsibilities of Class 1 Driver
- To comply with driving hours and working time directives
- To ensure driving ability adheres to the safety of others and oneself on the road, always ensuring legal compliance
- Ensure a professional image of the company and oneself is always presented
- Ensuring all paperwork is correctly signed, properly distributed and all administration is accurate
- Deliver and collect freight within service levels of agreement
- Ensure daily vehicle checks are actioned to support Health and Safety criteria
- Oversee safe loading and unloading of goods
- Responsible for security of loads
- To lead and give example to other drivers by offering support
- Willingness to work increased hours during peak times
