Pride of the Peaks – New Mills
We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Pride of the Peaks as we prepare to open our doors.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our pub from the very beginning and work closely alongside our Chef in a small, friendly two-person kitchen team. You’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills, gain hands-on kitchen experience and develop with the business as we grow.
The role
As Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support our Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to ensure we deliver great food and maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Chef with food preparation and basic cooking
- Preparing ingredients and helping with food service
- Washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Helping with deliveries, stock rotation and storage
- Supporting the Chef during busy service periods
- Working as part of a small team to keep the kitchen running smoothly
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, reliable and hardworking
- Keen to learn and happy to get stuck in
- Organised and able to work well under pressure
- A good team player with a positive attitude
- Interested in developing their kitchen skills
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
Previous kitchen experience is a bonus, but not essential. What matters most to us is the right attitude, willingness to learn and someone who takes pride in doing a good job.
Why join us?
This is your opportunity to be part of something from the start. Pride of the Peaks is a new venture with a strong focus on good food, great service and being a welcoming local pub.
Working directly alongside our Chef means you’ll have the chance to learn, develop your skills and take on more responsibility as the kitchen and business grow.
If you’re looking for a role where you can learn, get involved and be part of a new local pub from day one, we’d love to hear from you.
