Overview
We are seeking a dedicated experienced restaurant Kitchen Porter to support our busy culinary team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of hygiene. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn about food preparation and hospitality operations.
Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
- Supporting the organisation of storage areas, including fridges and dry stores
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety standards
- Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth workflow
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards
- Good organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills

Pay: £10.85-£13.00 per hour
