Job Overview
We are seeking EXPERIENCED enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent service in a lively and welcoming environment, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. The position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and work within a dynamic team. Previous experience in a bar is ESSENTIAL. Applicants MUST be able to work late nights and weekends
Duties
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Assist in preparing garnishes and basic bar mixes as required
- Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere and promote specials or events
- Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods, demonstrating good time management skills
- Support team members during service to ensure smooth operation of the venue
Requirements
- Previous experience in bar service is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to serve customers courteously and professionally
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing demands of the role
- A friendly, approachable personality with a positive attitude
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
