Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents in a care home setting. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both residents and junior staff, ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and followed.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment for residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care and leadership.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential.
- Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for interacting with residents and their families.
- Proficiency in IT systems related to resident documentation and care management is advantageous.
