What do we do?
We run a crisis assessment support residential care service. Individuals come to us for a minimum of 12 weeks and we work with them to assess their behaviours. We see fantastic changes in their progress and transition them into their forever home with a care plan that meets their long term needs.
This role is supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism who have complex behavioural needs where they may display behaviours that may challenge. You will be trained in Positive Behaviour Support and Restraint Reduction (Crisis Prevention Institute).
The IDEAL Candidate will have:
- 2 years experience in supporting Adults with complex behavioural needs
- Experience in a more senior role
- DBS on the update service
The Experienced Support Worker’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing
To contribute to the efficient running of the service
Support service users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
Ensure care plans and other information about how to support service users are followed
Be responsible for informing the Senior Lead/ Registered Manager of any changes in the needs of service users
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
Provide direct care to clients with complex needs, including personal, emotional, and social support.
Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing individualized care plans.
Support and mentor junior support staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Maintain detailed records and reports on client progress and incidents.
Act as a point of contact for families, professionals, and external agencies.
Identify opportunities to enhance client wellbeing and independence.
To order, return, administer, sign in and order medication.
Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
