About The Role
The Technical Supplier Assurance and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all suppliers, raw materials, and packaging materials meet company quality, food safety, legal, and customer requirements. The role coordinates supplier approval, compliance monitoring, risk assessment, and technical documentation to maintain a robust supplier assurance programme and support regulatory complianc
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the supplier approval programme, ensuring all suppliers are assessed, approved, and monitored in accordance with company food safety and quality standards.

Review and maintain supplier documentation, including food safety certifications, audit reports, product specifications, questionnaires, and declarations of compliance.

Conduct supplier risk assessments and monitor supplier performance, implementing corrective actions where supplier performance falls below agreed standards.

Coordinate supplier audits, technical visits, and follow-up activities to verify compliance with food safety, quality, ethical, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure raw materials, ingredients, and packaging comply with relevant food legislation, customer specifications, and company standards.

Investigate supplier-related quality incidents, non-conformances, and customer complaints, identifying root causes and coordinating corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain technical records and compliance databases, ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and audit-ready.

Liaise with suppliers, procurement, quality assurance, production, and regulatory teams to resolve technical issues and ensure continuity of compliant supply.

Monitor changes in food legislation, customer requirements, and industry standards, communicating relevant updates and implementing necessary changes to supplier compliance processes.

Support internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits by providing supplier assurance records, compliance evidence, and technical documentation.

Assist with supplier performance reviews, key performance indicator (KPI) reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supplier quality and compliance.
