Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef specialising in meat grilling over charcoal to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking high-quality meat dishes, ensuring authentic flavours and excellent presentation. Duties
- Prepare and cook various types of meat using traditional charcoal grilling methods to achieve optimal flavour and texture
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee consistent quality
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to customers, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to manage busy service periods efficiently
- Keep inventory of supplies and notify management when stock levels are low
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to meat grilling and charcoal cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Previous experience in meal preparation and serving customers preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
