THE ROLE
This is a senior operational leadership role at the heart of our service delivery model for the North East region. Working alongside the Zonal Operations Manager, you will lead a team of Regional Support Managers across the North East, driving performance, building strong client relationships and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across your region.
The North East presents a dynamic and growing portfolio of client sites, spanning a range of commercial, corporate, and high-security environments. This is a role for a confident, commercially minded leader who takes personal ownership of results and knows how to get the best from the people around them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Regional Support Managers across the North East
- Conduct regular regional performance reviews and implement improvement plans
- Monitor service delivery and customer satisfaction against agreed SLAs and KPIs
- Identify underperforming contracts and drive proactive, structured improvement initiatives
People Management
- Manage scheduling, recruitment, contracts, performance evaluations and disciplinaries across the region
- Drive employee engagement and build a high-performance, inclusive regional culture
- Lead succession planning to identify and develop future talent within the team
Financial & Commercial
- Take full ownership of regional financial targets and performance reporting
- Maintain financial accuracy and manage commercial risk across the North East portfolio
- Build trusted, long-term client relationships that support retention and commercial growth
Compliance & Risk
- Develop and maintain assignment instructions and risk assessments across all regional sites
- Ensure full health and safety compliance across all North East operational sites
- Act as a visible ambassador for ASEL values, standards and professional conduct at all times
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a sizeable security-based environment
- Proven experience managing teams including recruitment, performance management and development
- Strong background in commercial contract management within security or facilities management
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, geographically spread environment
- Experience in project management and health and safety compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Results-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Valid UK driving licence — travel across the North East region will be required
