Are you a reliable and customer-focused Van Driver looking to join a friendly, hardworking team? Do you enjoy being out on the road, providing excellent service and playing an important part in a busy branch? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for a Van Driver to join our Kings Langley branch. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for delivering building materials safely and efficiently in a 3.5t dropside vehicle, while supporting the wider branch team to ensure excellent service for our customers.
What you’ll be doing

Delivering building materials safely and efficiently to customers across the local area.

Picking orders and loading and unloading your vehicle safely and accurately.

Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.

Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and reporting returns, shortages or discrepancies.

Collecting payments where required in line with company procedures.

Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained.

Providing outstanding customer service and representing Lords professionally at every delivery.

Following all road traffic legislation, company driving policies and Health & Safety procedures.

Supporting stock movement and assisting with general branch duties when required.
What we’re looking for

Full UK driving licence.

Experience in a delivery driving role, ideally within builders' merchants or a similar industry.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Reliable, organised and able to manage your workload effectively.

Good awareness of health and safety and safe manual handling practices.

A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team.

Strong timekeeping and a professional approach.

Eligible to work in the UK.
Hours: 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, 7am–12pm alternate Saturdays
Holiday: 21 days plus Bank Holidays
