THE TEAM
You'll join our wider Information Security team, helping to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of easyJet's information and information systems. Working alongside security and technology professionals, you'll play an important role in identifying and mitigating cyber risks, responding to incidents and continuously enhancing our operational security capabilities across the business.
THE ROLE
As a Security Operations Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of protecting easyJet from cyber threats. You'll use a range of security technologies, products and services to detect, investigate, contain and remediate security incidents while helping to strengthen our overall security posture.
Key responsibilities include:
Rapid response, detection, investigation, isolation and remediation of security incidents.
Managing and optimising operational security tools, including configuration, tuning and monitoring coverage.
Developing, maintaining and applying security standards, processes, procedures and guidelines.
Providing security-focused technical support and guidance to technology teams to support compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Leading and supporting incident response activities, including forensic investigations and evidence handling.
Producing management information and reporting on security incidents and prevention activities.
Developing processes and controls to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
Collaborating with technical teams across application, infrastructure and network security domains.
Driving continuous improvement across operational security services and capabilities.
Staying up to date with emerging threats, technologies and regulatory developments.
Promoting a strong security culture across the organisation.
Participating in an out-of-hours support rota.
Requirements of the Role
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a security professional with strong technical knowledge, a proactive mindset and a passion for protecting business-critical systems and information.
Demonstrable experience working within a security operations or SOC environment.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Security Operations Analyst, SOC Analyst or similar role.
Strong understanding of the cyber security threat landscape, key risks and industry developments.
Hands-on experience with security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Splunk, ServiceNow, Zscaler or similar technologies.
Experience managing and responding to security incidents, including forensic investigation techniques and handling sensitive information.
Ability to lead or coordinate security incident response activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Ability to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure.
A self-starting approach with the confidence to drive improvements and influence change.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across teams outside of direct reporting structures.
Desirable qualifications include:
MSc in Information Security.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
Vendor certifications across SIEM, vulnerability management, web filtering, intrusion prevention or email security technologies.

PRACTICALITIES
