The Team
Led by the Director of Business Development & Marketing (BD & M), the team supports the firm across Business Development, Bids, Marketing, Communications and Events. We are a collaborative team of 18, working closely together to help the firm build strong relationships and deliver work that makes a difference.
The role
This is a great opportunity to join a busy, supportive Business Development and Marketing team and play an important part in delivering high-quality digital content across Capsticks’ channels. As Digital Content Executive, you will take ownership of content from initial briefing through to publication, optimisation and performance review.
You will work across the website, social media, email marketing and other digital platforms, partnering with the Communications Team Leader, BD sector leads and colleagues across the firm. The focus is on creating content that is clear, engaging and on brand, supports business development priorities, and delivers measurable results.
You will also use data, feedback and reporting to understand what is working, identify opportunities for improvement and support a more strategic approach to digital content and campaigns.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain website content, including uploading, editing and publishing insights, news and campaign pages via the CMS and conducting fortnightly audits to ensure refreshed content is displaying in prime positions
- Support the delivery of integrated digital campaigns aligned to sector priorities (e.g. healthcare, housing and local government)
- Work closely with stakeholders across the firm to shape content that supports client engagement, thought leadership and business development activity
- Draft, edit and optimise a range of content, including website copy, email marketing campaigns, social media posts and video
- Coordinate content workflows from briefing through to sign-off and publication, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained
- Maintain content schedules and publishing calendars across channels
- Support email marketing activity, including building campaigns, managing distribution lists and monitoring performance
- Support with the production and distribution of video and podcast content, including attending Capsticks events and client sites to record
- Use analytics tools to track performance across website, email and social channels, and report on key metrics and outcomes
- Support SEO and AIO best practice by optimising content for search and improving visibility of key priority areas
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and CMS systems, including campaign tracking, audience data and reporting
- Monitor and respond to website and content queries, including troubleshooting publishing issues where required
- Use AI-enabled tools to support content creation, optimisation and workflow efficiency, ensuring outputs are accurate, on brand and aligned with firm standards
- Stay up to date with developments in digital marketing, content trends, SEO and AI-enabled tools, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Other Duties
You may also be asked to support other work across the team from time to time, whether that is helping on wider marketing and business development projects or contributing to the smooth running of the function.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with strong digital content and marketing experience, ideally in a professional services environment, and a practical, proactive approach. You might already be working in a similar content-focused role or be looking to develop your experience in a more varied and strategic position.
- Experience producing and publishing digital content across websites, email and social media platforms
- Experience using CMS platforms and CRM systems
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels
- Good understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, email marketing and social media best practice
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and digital tools, including email marketing platforms and analytics/reporting systems
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes, including the use of technology and AI-enabled tools where appropriate
- An interest in professional services, public sector issues and thought leadership content
- Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
- A team player who is willing to flex and get involved with a range of campaigns and projects
