Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated General Assistant to join our team at St Macartan's Nursing Home, Clogher.
This job involves Domestic, Kitchen and Laundry duties and is 18-24hrs per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the on-duty Cook in all aspects of food preparation, operating laundry equipment to ensure garments and bedding are laundered in a timely manner, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various premises and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants.
Previous experience work is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, corridors, washrooms, and communal spaces.
- Food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and assisting in mealtimes.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks meet health and safety standards and organisational policies.
- Operation of laundry equipment and efficiency in tasks delegated.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the premises.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure continuous availability of cleaning materials.
- Follow organisational procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or general assistant work is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational skills
- Good physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning duties effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude.
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
