Following our recent acquisition by Axvik Group, we are excited to be entering a new phase of growth, therefore we are looking for a Composite Breakout Technician to join our Fitting Department on a full-time, permanent basis working Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:00pm with a 12:30pm finish on Fridays! This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a skilled team.
You will be required to support the manufacture of composite components through the safe de-moulding, cleaning and preparation of mould tools, while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Composite Breakout Technician, your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
- De-moulding composite parts
- Cleaning and preparing mould tools
- Maintaining general housekeeping within the breakout area
- Removing cured parts from autoclaves and vacuum bags
- Inspecting parts for damage and reporting any defects
- Preparing mould tools with sealants and release chemicals (relevant PPE provided)
- Unbolting and bolting mould tools using hand and air tools
- Ensuring all equipment within the area is calibrated within required timescales and reporting any related issues to the appropriate Manager
- Working to daily and weekly production schedules, highlighting any deviations to the appropriate person
- Liaising with relevant departments and personnel to ensure materials and resources are available when required
- Maintaining housekeeping and organisation standards within the autoclave area, including the storage of all associated equipment
- Preparing required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Working to customer drawings and specifications
- Ensuring all work, tasks, procedures, and documentation comply with Pentaxia's Quality Management System requirements
- Completing all necessary work control documentation in a timely manner
- Complying with Health and Safety requirements at all times
- Carrying out general cleaning duties as required
- Undertaking any other duties deemed appropriate and commensurate with the position
