We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and customer focused flooring warehouse and showroom assistant to join our growing team. This is a varied role that combines warehouse duties, customer service, showroom support, and flooring preparation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customers receive excellent service while helping to maintain the smooth day to day operation of our warehouse and showroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting customers in the showroom and provide a friendly, professional service
- Measuring, cutting and preparing carpets, vinyls and artificial grass to customer requirements
- Calculating measurements for flooring projects
- Preparing customer quotations
- Loading/Unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Organise warehouse stock
- Keep warehouse/showroom clean and tidy
- Assist with stock checks
- Handle customer enquiries in person or over the telephone/via email
- Support the sales team with product knowledge
- Follow Health & Safety procedures
Requirements (Desirable but not Essential)
- Previous experience or knowledge within the flooring industry
- Good understanding of flooring products
- Ability to accurately measure areas and calculate material requirements
- Physically fit
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Polite, professional and approachable manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good numeracy skills
- Reliable, punctual
