Teaching Assistant Level 1
Permanent contract
32.5 hours per week (Term time only)
An opportunity for a permanent teaching assistant post has become available at St. Philip’s RC Primary School.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they meet the following key factors for the post in order to be shortlisted for interview.

Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.

The ability to provide 1:1 support to children with complex needs including providing intimate care.

Promote communication and social interaction through various techniques, including play activities and visual aids.

Monitor child progress and behaviours, reporting to the teacher, SENDCO and relevant parties.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Be patient, empathetic and demonstrate a positive attitude in challenging situations.

Flexible approach to work

Able to show initiative.

The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

The ability to work independently and part of a team including whole school.

The ability to interact positively and professionally with pupils, parents and colleagues.
The successful candidate will be supported via supervision and have access to relevant CPD for the role.
