Esterchem Limited is a family-owned speciality ester manufacturer based in Leek, Staffs.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking additional operative to join our dynamic Material Handling team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Material Handling Supervisor, you will be working in a small team and will be responsible for handling the numerous different materials we require to succeed in our sector.
The role requires you to work 45 hours a week (9hrs a day) between the hours of 07:00 – 17:00 (actual hours to be determined).
What You’ll Do
· Material Handling: Load and unload a variety of material using numerous onsite equipment, including Pump trucks, Forklift trucks, various electrical and pneumatic pumps amongst others. (Full training will be given.)
· Paperwork: Produce the associated paperwork via our ERP system, ensuring accurate recording of weights, batch numbers and material codes.
· Health and Safety: Protect yourself, your colleagues, and any drivers or visitors to site by ensuring compliance with the relevant PPE and H&S requirements.
· Be Proactive: Actively seek to fulfil your duties with minimal supervision (when fully trained) as required.
· Communicate: Clearly articulate any potential issues to your supervisor or departmental manager where needed. Efficiently communicate with colleagues at al levels, as well as the visiting drivers that collect and deliver the materials to and from site.
· Traffic Management: Ensure the safe movement of vehicles around the site as needed for loading/offloading.
· Housekeeping: Proactively maintain good housekeeping practices across your department, ensuring site cleanliness as far as is reasonably practical.
Desirable Skills:
· Knowledge of the Chemical Industry (not essential but may be advantageous).
· Competent IT skills and a willingness to learn a new system.
· GCSE Grade C or above in English (Language), Maths, and Science.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to work as part of a team, and also individually where required.
