** Data Analyst **

Reports to: Head of Technology
Location: Bickenhill Office, Marston Green nr. Birmingham Airport
Environment: Office-based, 5 days / 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, open plan office

We are looking for a proactive Data Analyst to help us analyse our business data, optimise our operations, and directly influence senior decision-making.
ROLE PURPOSE
- Your primary mission will be to turn raw data into actionable business intelligence. You will analyse commercial and operational data to spot trends, isolate equipment anomalies, monitor car park performance, and present clear, impactful insights directly to senior management.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performance Tracking: Monitor, analyse, and track the performance of onsite equipment, hardware, and individual car park assets to ensure maximum uptime and profitability.
- Proactive Issue Spotting: Deep-dive into daily and weekly business data to identify anomalies, revenue leakages, technical bottlenecks, or operational inefficiencies before they become wider problems.
- Senior Stakeholder Reporting: Translate complex data sets into clear, concise, and visually appealing dashboards and presentations for senior managers and executives.
- BI Dashboard Development: Build, maintain, and improve robust reporting solutions (ranging from static reports to dynamic data visualisations) that the business can rely on.
- Data Collaboration: Work alongside the wider IT and operations teams to ensure our data schemas and data warehouses capture the metrics needed for high-level business analysis.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Core Analytical Skills:
- The Analytical Mindset: A naturally curious, critical thinker who is highly focussed on business improvement. Someone who does not just pull data, but asks "Why is this happening?" and "How can we fix it?"
- Communication & Presence: Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to present findings, explain trends, and justify recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Technical Requirements:
- BI Tool Proficiency: Proven experience working with BI and data visualisation tools - Power BI, Looker, or Looker Studio are highly preferred.
- Data Querying: Strong SQL skills are essential (experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses is a major plus).
- Cloud & Web Analytics: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Analytics, or Firebase is advantageous but not essential.
