Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pipelayer to join our construction team in CV7. In this vital role, you will be responsible for laying and installing underground pipelines, ensuring they are constructed accurately, safely, and efficiently. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine pipeline layouts and installation procedures
- Excavate trenches using excavators and hand tools, ensuring proper depth and alignment for pipeline placement
- Install pipes using welding techniques when necessary, ensuring secure connections and compliance with safety standards
- Use power tools and hand tools to assemble, secure, and connect piping systems effectively
- Conduct mechanical inspections of pipelines during and after installation to identify potential issues or defects
- Apply electrical knowledge when working with electrical components related to pipeline systems or associated equipment
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery essential for trenching and excavation tasks
- Strong welding skills with the ability to join pipes securely according to industry standards
- Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, hammers, wrenches, and pipe cutters
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws used in pipeline installation
- Mechanical knowledge related to piping systems, fittings, valves, and related infrastructure components
- Electrical experience beneficial for handling electrical connections or troubleshooting related equipment
- Excellent physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
