Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills whilst working with children in a dynamic setting. A background in early childhood education and nursery experience is highly desirable, alongside strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs when required.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtimes, meals, and rest periods ensuring their safety at all times
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative working environment
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with regulatory standards
- Organise and lead group activities that encourage social interaction and learning
- Manage behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement techniques
- Ensure the childcare environment remains clean, safe, and well-organised in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and leadership when appropriate
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional driving responsibilities if required
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are preferred
- Valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential
- Passionate about fostering a positive learning environment that supports each child's individual needs

Pay: £25,396.80-£34,000.00 per year
