Business Operations Manager
Location: Leeds (100% In-Office)
Salary: £37,000 – £40,000 Basic + Profit Share (Target OTE £48,000 – £55,000+)
About Us
We’re Right NRG, a fast-growing renewable energy company based right here in Leeds. We design and install B2C solar, battery storage, and EV infrastructure.
We’re a fast-moving, high-performing team, but we keep things straightforward: we give our people flexibility and trust, and in return, we expect real ownership, high standards, and great results.
We’re looking for a hands-on Business Operations Manager to run our day-to-day office operations, coach our team, and keep our customer journey running smoothly.
What the job actually looks like
You’ll be managing a core team of 6–7 people across project coordination, customer service, and lead generation. You’ll sit right on the shop floor with the team, keeping daily output high and making sure customer installs move without a hitch.
Most importantly, you will be the operational backbone of the business—taking daily headaches off the Managing Director’s desk so he can focus on scaling the company.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
- Coach & Develop: Run regular 1-on-1s and daily huddles with your 6–7 reports. You’ll train them, help them improve, and hold them to high standards.
- Keep Projects Moving: Ensure installations flow seamlessly from the initial sale all the way through grid paperwork to final customer handover.
- Keep People Accountable: Check daily work plans every morning, make sure our system data is tidy, and deal with lateness or missed targets straight away.
- Fix Problems Fast: When a process stalls, a customer complaint escalation, a schedule clashes, or a system glitches, you jump in and sort it out directly rather than passing it up the line.
Who we’re looking for
- 4+ years managing teams (5–10 direct reports) in a fast-paced environment—like telesales, renewables, field services, or a busy SME.
- 100% office-based: You prefer being on the floor with your team, setting the pace and leading from the front every day.
- A balanced leader: You’re supportive and know how to get the best out of people, but you’re comfortable having direct, honest conversations when performance slips.
- Commercially minded: You understand that wasted leads and delayed projects cost money, and you take pride in running a tight ship.
What you’ll get in return
- £37,000 – £40,000 basic salary.
- Uncapped Profit Share: When your team runs efficiently and waste drops, bottom-line profits go up—and you take a direct cut of that profit (Target OTE £48,000 – £55,000+).
- Clear Career Path: Proven results here lead directly to an Operations Director / COO role as we scale.
- Perks & Culture: Annual all-expenses-paid company trips, regular team socials, performance rewards, and a dedicated budget for your personal development and training.
