Ekota Café is an exciting new café opening in Goodmayes Park. We are passionate about serving high quality coffee, creating a welcoming atmosphere and becoming a valued part of the local community.
We are currently looking for experienced Baristas to join our team as we prepare to open our doors.
The Role
As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high quality drinks, providing excellent customer service, and helping to create a positive experience for every customer who visits the café.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Barista
- Confident in preparing a range of coffee based drinks
- Strong latte art and milk texturing skills
- Excellent spoken English and communication skills
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Right to work in the UK
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, smoothies, and other beverages to a high standard
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Operate the till and process customer payments
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café
- Follow food safety and health & safety procedures
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Support colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in a speciality coffee environment
- Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods and equipment maintenance
- Food preparation experience
- Basic stock management experience

Pay: £12.71-£14.71 per hour
