We are looking for a qualified Lunch Cover practitioner to work 11am to 3pm Monday to Friday, all year round.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lunch Cover Practitioner to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging with children during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting a positive and nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise children during lunch periods, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Assist in the management of lunchtime routines, including the distribution of meals and encouraging healthy eating habits.
Engage with children in play activities to foster social interaction and development.
Communicate effectively with children, providing guidance and support as needed.
Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a harmonious environment within the
nursery setting.
Report any concerns regarding children’s behaviour or well-being to the appropriate
personnel.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the lunch area before, during, and after meal times.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years and have nursery experience.Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their development.
Ability to drive engagement through creative play and activities.
Knowledge of nursery practices and child development principles is advantageous.
Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self- motivated.
