Main Duties
- Checking embroidered garments before packing
- Making sure the correct garments, sizes, colours and quantities are included in each order
- Checking clothing and embroidery for any visible issues
- Folding and packing garments neatly
- Preparing completed orders for dispatch
- Reading order sheets and following packing instructions accurately
- Keeping packing and working areas clean and tidy
- General workshop cleaning, including sweeping, wiping surfaces and disposing of packaging/waste
- Organising clothing, boxes and other materials
- Helping other members of the workshop team with general tasks when required
What We're Looking For
You do not need previous embroidery or garment experience, as training will be provided.
However, you must:
- Have good eyesight and attention to detail, as you will need to check embroidery, garment colours, sizes and order information
- Be able to read and write in English to a level that allows you to understand order sheets, garment labels and work instructions
- Be organised and able to follow instructions accurately
- Be comfortable carrying out cleaning as part of your normal daily duties
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be comfortable working on your feet and carrying out practical tasks
- Be willing to help with different jobs around the workshop when required
- Take pride in completing work correctly and neatly
About the Position
This position is initially offered on a temporary, part-time basis.
For the right person, there is the possibility of increased hours and the position becoming full-time and permanent as the business grows.
We are looking for someone who is happy to become part of the team rather than someone who only wants to pack orders. Everyone helps where needed to keep the workshop running efficiently.
Experience
Previous experience in packing, warehouse work, clothing, embroidery, production or a similar environment would be useful, but is not essential.
Full training will be provided.
