Overview
Powerpoint Electrical and Mechanical are a complete M&E contractor offering co-ordinated installations for projects up to £8 million. Based in Ringwood, we undertake projects across the South of England specialising in the design, supply, installation and commissioning of pre-designed and design and build services projects.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Document Controller to join our dynamic project management team. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless handling, storage, and distribution of project documentation across all phases of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. As a key player in maintaining project integrity, you will facilitate accurate documentation flow, support compliance standards, and contribute to the overall success of complex projects.
Duties
- Manage and control all project documentation, including drawings, reports, contracts, and correspondence, ensuring version control and proper storage in document management systems such as SharePoint, ProCore or Content Management Systems.
- Coordinate with project teams to gather requirements for documentation needs and ensure timely distribution of relevant documents.
- Implement document control procedures aligned with industry standards to maintain consistency across projects.
- Utilise project management software such as Microsoft Project, or Project Server to track document statuses and support scheduling activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis on document discrepancies or issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by maintaining accurate records and facilitating access to required documentation.
- Lead efforts in continuous improvement of document control processes.
