Deputy Manager – Nursery Wraparound & After School Club

We believe every child deserves the very best experiences before and after school, and we're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Manager to help lead our Wraparound and After School Club.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who enjoys leading a team, building positive relationships with families and creating fun, engaging experiences for children.
The Role
Working alongside the Manager, you will play a key role in the day to day running of the provision, ensuring children receive outstanding care in a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Manager with the daily operation of the setting.
- Deputising for the Manager in their absence.
- Leading and motivating a team of childcare practitioners.
- Carrying out safe and organised school pick ups, ensuring children are collected promptly and transported or escorted safely back to the setting in line with Bear Pak's policies and procedures.
- Planning and delivering engaging activities for children attending our wraparound and afterschool provision.
- Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare practice.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, schools and the wider community.
- Supporting staff development through coaching and mentoring.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a nursery, wraparound or out of school childcare setting.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding, child development and health and safety.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, flexible and proactive approach.
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive.
