We're looking for a passionate, hands-on Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading the kitchen. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day management of the kitchen
- Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team during service
- Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and execution
- Assist with menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Manage stock, ordering, and minimise wastage to maximise efficiency
- Help control labour and food costs in line with company targets
- Ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation
- Work closely with the Front of House and management teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Take responsibility for running the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to progress
- A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal produce and quality cooking
- A positive leader who motivates and develops those around them
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform under pressure
- Good commercial awareness, including stock control, food costs, and labour management
- A calm, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- A desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term career within a successful hospitality group
