NDE Solutions Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated Setter / Technician to join our production team at our site in Venn Place, Cullompton.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production or engineering professional who enjoys a hands-on role, working with machinery and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.
Salary & Hours
- £17.12 per hour
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am to 2:00pm
- Permanent, full-time position
- Based at Venn Place, Cullompton
About the Role
The Setter / Technician plays a key role in ensuring production machinery is operating efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for machine set-up, changeovers, basic maintenance activities and supporting production teams with technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust machinery for production runs
- Carry out machine changeovers and initial setups
- Perform daily start-up checks and ensure equipment is production ready
- Provide frontline technical support to production operators
- Identify and resolve minor mechanical, electrical or process issues
- Monitor machine performance and report recurring faults or improvement opportunities
- Maintain accurate setup and maintenance records
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures
- Support and guide machine operators where required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
- Previous machine setting, changeover or technician experience
- Strong mechanical or electromechanical knowledge
- Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
Experience with winding, soldering, injection moulding or inspection equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
