Overview
XYRESIC LIMITED is an established community pharmacy business operating four pharmacy branches across Staffordshire and East Yorkshire, employing approximately 27 staff. We provide NHS and private pharmacy services and are seeking an Accounts Manager to support effective financial management and control across our growing multi-site operations.
The Role
We are seeking an analytical and commercially aware Accounts Manager to oversee management accounting, financial reporting and financial controls across our pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports across the company's pharmacy branches.
- Prepare annual budgets, cash-flow forecasts and financial projections.
- Monitor branch income, expenditure, operating costs and overall financial performance.
- Analyse financial results, budget variances and branch performance, reporting key findings to senior management.
- Perform and review bank, supplier and other financial reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain appropriate financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial records.
- Monitor supplier expenditure and identify opportunities for improved cost control and operational efficiency.
- Consolidate financial information from multiple pharmacy locations for management reporting.
- Support directors with financial analysis to inform budgeting, investment and commercial decisions.
- Liaise with external accountants and professional advisers in relation to year-end accounts and financial reporting requirements.
- Review existing financial processes and recommend improvements to reporting, controls and financial efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management or another relevant quantitative/analytical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong numerical, analytical and financial-reporting skills.
- Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and management reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and data-analysis skills.
- Ability to interpret financial information and communicate findings clearly to management.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving ability.
- Previous experience in an accounts, finance or commercially analytical environment is desirable.
