Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently to wash, dry, and fold linens and textiles.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling.
- Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage; report any issues for further action.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors when stock is low.
- Support team members during peak times by helping with additional laundry tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality laundry services is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and chemical handling procedures diligently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
Core hours 3pm to 7pm Tues, Weds, and Thursday
Pay: From £12.90 per hour
