Chimney Technician & Woodburner Installer - Full HETAS training provided at our own accredited training centre
Are you the kind of person who needs to understand how things work?
Not just broadly — properly.
The kind of person who, when something isn’t working, has to figure out why. Who takes quiet satisfaction in a job done correctly. Who doesn’t need someone looking over their shoulder to do good work.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
The role
Every day is different. You’ll be visiting customers across the North West — Wigan, Manchester, Liverpool, Stockport and surrounding areas — carrying out chimney sweeping, system inspections, fault diagnosis, woodburner and solid fuel appliance installations.
You’ll work independently, completing a varied schedule of appointments without the need for constant supervision.
Each visit requires you to assess, advise, and where necessary produce clear written reports and recommendations for customers — so strong communication skills, both verbal and written, matter as much as technical ability.
You’ll need to be comfortable talking to people. Our customers expect someone who knows what they’re talking about and treats their home with respect.
The training
We have our own purpose-built HETAS-approved training centre in Wigan — the first chimney sweep company in the UK to have one. Your development will be structured, ongoing, and taken seriously.
No prior experience in chimneys or solid fuel is essential.
