We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and physically fit Loading Coordinator to join our early morning operations team. This is a key role within our warehouse and transport operation, ensuring that goods are accurately prepared, loaded, and dispatched so our delivery fleet can leave on time each morning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving fresh deliveries, operating a counterbalance forklift, organising the warehouse, and loading vehicles to maintain an efficient and safe operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and prepare fresh vegetable deliveries received each morning.
- Accurately sort, check, and palletise goods.
- Prepare and pre-load delivery vehicles according to planned delivery routes.
- Assist morning drivers with final vehicle loading to ensure prompt departures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures, including manual handling and forklift operating guidelines.
- Work closely with the transport and warehouse teams to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential. In-house forklift training certificates will not be accepted.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, loading, transport, or logistics environment is preferred.
- Experience working with fresh produce or food distribution would be advantageous.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out regular heavy lifting and manual handling duties.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to work additional hours when required to meet business needs.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
