Personal Assistant supporting a young man (31) with learning difficulties. Female only, and within proximity to his own age seems to work well for him. He lives in a rented property where he requires 1-1 assisted living. This job requires a energetic confident and understanding person. Job role includes but not limited to; encouraging him to do washing and keep his house clean and tidy, cooking and eating together. Attending an evening or weekend activity sometimes, ensuring his personal hygiene routines are good.
Driving license is a must. Any previous experience with learning disabilities is a bonus. An opportunity to really improve a person's day to day life. H loves to have fun and is really caring. Although generally a very enjoyable person to spend time with, due to poor communication about anxieties behaviour can be challenging and you should be prepared for this.
No experience required, we are just looking for a bubbly and confident character with enthusiasm to encourage HJ to live a fun lifestyle.
Flexibility is essential but generally hours would be 5pm -9/10am weekdays and weekend shifts would vary. Overnight is a sleeping night.
