Care Practitioner - Iden Manor Nursing Home

The key purpose of this role is to provide great quality personalised, safe, responsive and timely care to the residents of Iden Manor.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering person centered care and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- To work under direct supervision/instruction of the Senior Care Practitioners and nursing staff
- Assist in delivering a high standard of health care to residents, promoting their equality, privacy and dignity at all times
- Assist with residents’ hygiene, mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking and social interaction, whilst observing and reporting any changes as necessary
- Observe and report changes in the residents’ condition to the nurse in charge
- Maintain contemporaneous and accurate records of the care given Clinical Duties
- To communicate effectively within the multi-disciplinary team
- Make contemporaneous, accurate and complete person centred care entries on to residents care record
- Use appropriate infection control procedures
- Segregate and dispose of waste materials in line with home’s procedure
- Assist in the maintenance of home’s cleanliness
- Escort clients to and from relevant departments or appointment outside the home
- Provide support to service user’s carers and family members
- Use resources economically and efficiently
- To work within, support and contribute towards the implementation of the company Policies and Procedures including; Health and Safety Policy, Equalities and Diversity Policy, General Data Protection Regulations, Data Protection Policy, Quality Assurance Policy and Policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
