Strawberrys nursery & preschool has been established since 1994, we strive to provide high quality childcare and education for children aged under 5. We have a vacancy for a qualified level 3 early years nursery practitioner.
Working hours are 30-35 hours per week, between 8:00-18:00 Monday - Friday, hours to be discussed during the interview process.
We are closed on all bank holidays, one week at Christmas and weekends.
Your roll as nursery practitioner. As a valued member of our team you will need a good sense of humour; be enthusiastic, organised and able to work using your own initiative, have a positive attitude and work well as part of a team.
You will be working with children aged under 5, with a supportive, kind, caring, understanding and nurturing approach.
You will need to create stimulating learning opportunities that deliver a high quality, child centred approach which meets the needs of our children and their families.
You will need a good understanding of safeguarding children and ensure EYFS standards are met.
The following would be an advantage:
Experience working with early years children in a full day care setting.
A good knowledge of Early years foundation stage (EYFS) and development matters for early years.
PERFORMANCE, appraisals and pay progression:
We recognise exceptional practice and progression which is discussed during your termly appraisals linked to pay reviews.
Experience as a key person.
A current paediatric 1st aid certificate.
Safeguarding and child protection training,
Food hygiene certificate.

The successful candidate will be required to receive adequate training in child protection matters and safeguarding.
Due to the nature of the work, this employment is exempt from the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) (Amendments) Order 1986.
