We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic ICT Level 3 Apprentice to join our technical team in Southport. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys building PCs, setting up equipment, and supporting users, while developing real hands-on experience.
In this role, you'll gain practical skills across IT support, hardware configuration, software troubleshooting, and system maintenance. You'll also work towards a nationally recognised Level 3 ICT qualification, fully funded.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an ICT Apprentice, you'll play a key role in supporting IT systems across multiple sites. You’ll assist with PC builds, equipment installs, troubleshooting common issues, and providing great customer service in person and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the IT Manager in monitoring, maintaining, and developing all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Act as the first point of contact for IT issues across several locations.
- Troubleshoot everyday problems such as slow machines, printer faults, or software errors.
- Assist with user account administration: password resets, access requests, and profile setup.
- Escalate more complex technical issues to the IT Manager.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records for all sites.
- Coordinate cyber‑security e-learning: send reminders, track completions, support staff accessing the training.
- Promote simple cyber‑security good practice (e.g., strong passwords, spotting suspicious emails).
- Follow IT policies, security standards, and data protection guidelines.
- Complete all apprenticeship training and participate in structured on‑the‑job learning.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential
- Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle

- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Desirable
- Basic understanding of computers, operating systems, and common software (e.g., Microsoft 365)
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time
