Duties
- Greet customers with enthusiasm and provide exceptional service from order to payment
- Take accurate orders, suggest upselling options to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Prepare basic food items such as fish, chips, and other quick-service offerings following food safety standards
- Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions accurately, and give correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including food prep zones and customer seating areas
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure the counter is well-equipped throughout shifts
- Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene protocols diligently to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fast-food environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are most important
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Experience in serving customers with a friendly, professional approach
- Familiarity with food safety practices and hygiene standards in a quick-service setting
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
