Job Purpose
This role will be responsible for the Planning & scheduling teams and for the continued governance for master data management.
The purpose of the role is to provide strategic and operational management of the logistics function (mostly inbound with some outbound logistics).

Principal Responsibilities
- Effective leadership and efficient management of site warehouse spaces in support of manufacturing options.
- Understand and implement lean manufacturing work practices including 5s, AM, problem solving (including root cause analysis) to drive continuous improvement activity at site
- Liaise directly with MPS Planning to ensure that local planning meets the requirements of the fixed planning horizon and work directly with manufacturing operations to ensure the fixed horizon plan is optimised to support efficient production.
- Liaise directly with third party finished goods warehouse management to ensure the efficient shunting of finished goods.
- Responsible for setting and maintaining raw and packaging materials stock holding targets and availability to meet production demands and conduct regular stock takes.
- Minimise raw materials and packaging material write-offs
- Leadership of the local MES team to ensure operational master data is effectively maintained.
- Leadership of the drive for continuous improvement of site MES
- Liaise with site and group engineering to support planned maintenance and line upgrade shutdowns stock builds as required.
- Attend weekly “Stock and Sales” meetings and provide information relevant to forward crewing levels.
- Provide forecast information to key suppliers.
- Completion of monthly KPI reports and present data/reports to senior management as required.
- Assist in the preparation of and approve product costings.
- Assist in the annual Budgeting process and re-forecasts as required, control and management of department budget
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of SAP data and transactions for which the job holder is responsible.
- Management of blocked stock.
- Coordinate packaging material trials and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Lead, coach and ensure the Planning and Logistics team understand business needs and requirements.

- To maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards by ensuring all associated policies and procedures are adhered to.
General Responsibilities

- Have a detailed understanding of the Princes Performance System (PPS) and the Site Must Win Battle Plan
- Ensure all training for direct reports is documented using the appropriate skills matrix.
