Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator level 3 (or above) to join our team at Happy Chalet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience with all age groups in early childhood education, knowledge on how to complete necessary observations and reports, and above all genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering their curiosity and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding policies at all times.
Skills
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide a team of educators effectively.
- Previous experience working with children aged 3 months-5years (all age groups) in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
- Knowledge about how to complete necessary observations and reports.
- A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Driving skills may be advantageous for transporting children or resources as needed.
- A nurturing attitude with the ability to inspire confidence in young learners.
