Summary
The Key Account Controller is responsible for owning the operational and commercial relationship for a portfolio of strategic customer accounts.
Acting as the primary point of contact, the role is accountable for ensuring customers receive outstanding service whilst protecting Elite's commercial interests. The Key Account Manager will manage customer demand, order fulfillment, quotations, contract compliance, inventory exposure, new product introductions and operational performance.
Working across Sales, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Production, Quality and Logistics, the Key Account Manager ensures customer expectations are clearly understood, risks are proactively managed and opportunities for growth are identified.
The role represents the Voice of the Customer internally whilst ensuring customers understand the operational realities of manufacturing.
Essential
- Experience in a customer account management, customer service or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Experience managing customer orders, forecasts and delivery schedules using ERP systems.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and produce customer performance reports (e.g. OTIF, forecasts, KPIs).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
- Knowledge of procurement, planning and inventory management principles.
- Experience coordinating quotations and customer pricing activities.
- Understanding of contract management and commercial agreements.
- Experience leading customer review meetings or Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Knowledge of Lean or Continuous Improvement principles.
- Experience working with customer portals and MRP/ERP systems.
