About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at our clinic in South Kensington. Our site consists of four charming mews buildings across a private mews street, and you will play a key role in keeping the properties safe, functional and in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities
- General building maintenance and repairs across all four buildings
- Plumbing work including tap repairs, toilet repairs and full replacements
- Door repairs and replacements
- Painting, decorating and plastering
- Room refurbishments and full bathroom replacements
- Basic electrical maintenance and liaising with qualified electricians where required
- Heating and boiler monitoring, and liaising with specialist contractors for servicing
- Window and lock repairs and replacements
- Carpentry and joinery repairs
- Flooring repairs and replacements
- Gutter clearing, drainage maintenance and exterior upkeep
- PAT testing coordination and fire safety checks
- Maintaining a log of maintenance activities, scheduled works and contractor visits
- Managing stock of tools, equipment and maintenance supplies
- Proactively identifying and addressing maintenance issues before they escalate
- Receiving and managing deliveries where required
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a general maintenance, facilities or handyman role
- Solid plumbing skills and confidence working across a range of trades
- Basic electrical knowledge (with awareness of when to escalate to a qualified electrician)
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage your own workload
- Good communication skills and a professional, courteous manner — comfortable working within an active clinic environment
- Reliable, punctual and well-organised
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a keen eye for detail
Desirable
- Experience working in a healthcare, hospitality or commercial property setting
- Relevant trade qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent)
- CSCS card or similar health & safety certification
- Full UK driving licence
