We are a brand new nursery opening September 2026. We are looking for both qualified early years educators and room leaders.
Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Qualified Early Years Educators to join our childcare team and set up our brand new nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality early childhood education and care, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills whilst supporting children's developmental needs in accordance with early years frameworks. The ideal applicants will have a passion for working with children, possess strong communication skills, and hold relevant childcare qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental stages of children in your care.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play.
- Monitor and record individual progress, ensuring each child's needs are met effectively.
- Support children's emotional well-being and behaviour management in a positive manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure consistent care and communication regarding children's development.
- Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation within the nursery setting.
- Supervise junior staff or trainees as required, providing guidance and mentorship to support their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare legislation, policies, and procedures.
Skills
- Extensive experience working directly with children in nursery or early childhood education roles.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early years frameworks such as EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Organised with the ability to plan effectively whilst managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel between nurseries or community settings but not essential.
- A caring attitude combined with professionalism and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
