This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within our central Reservations, Meetings Events function, supporting a portfolio of 40+ hotels across the UK. The role reports directly to the Head of Reservations, Meetings Events and is one of two Regional Reservations Meetings Managers working together to lead our central Group Reservations team of 10. This is a permanent job-share opportunity, working between 8 and 16 hours per week across Mondays and Fridays.
What you'll be doing as one of our Regional Reservations and Meetings Managers:
As Regional Reservations Meetings Manager, you will provide leadership, coaching and commercial direction to the Group Reservations team, ensuring we maximise every opportunity to drive revenue, conversion and customer satisfaction across our estate.
You will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience, while using performance data, commercial insight and market knowledge to identify opportunities, improve ways of working and deliver strong results.
You'll be a key point of escalation for both our customers and colleagues, while working closely with hotels and the wider commercial team to ensure we operate as one team and deliver a seamless experience from enquiry through to event.
What you'll be doing
- Lead, coach and support the Group Reservations team of 10, creating a high-performing, engaged and customer-focused team.
- Drive revenue and conversion across group reservations, meetings and event opportunities.
- Personally oversee the qualification and management of high-value enquiries, ensuring we maximise the opportunity and increase conversion.
- Ensure the team consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience through both verbal and written communication.
- Use KPIs, performance data and commercial insight to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Complete regular dip checks and quality audits of the team's work, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, commercial performance and compliance with agreed processes.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve individual capability, confidence and performance.
- Lead and facilitate weekly team meetings, ensuring clear communication, accountability and focus on key priorities.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex customer issues, commercial challenges and internal queries.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across our hotel estate, ensuring the central team and hotels work collaboratively to deliver customer excellence.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of our products, brands, competitors and the wider market to inform commercial strategies and decision-making.
- Translate performance, revenue and customer insight into clear reporting, recommendations and actions that support operational and commercial decisions.
- Identify risks and opportunities early, taking ownership of continuous improvement initiatives that enhance conversion, simplify processes and strengthen customer and commercial outcomes.
- Support people management activity including recruitment, return-to-work meetings, performance reviews and monthly one-to-ones.
- Support the personal development, wellbeing and career progression of team members.
- Hold the team accountable for agreed KPIs and performance expectations, taking timely action where improvements are required.
- Prepare monthly commercial reporting for our hotel owners, highlighting performance, opportunities, risks and recommended actions.
Who we are looking for:
We're looking for someone who combines strong people leadership with a genuine commercial mindset. You'll ideally have:
- Experience of leading, coaching or managing a reservations, meetings, events or sales team.
- A strong understanding of conversion, revenue generation and commercial performance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels across a large hotel portfolio.
- A data-driven approach, with the ability to understand performance information and turn it into meaningful actions.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The confidence to challenge, influence and hold others accountable in a positive and constructive way.
- A passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- The ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across a geographically dispersed estate.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities, solving problems and continuously improving the way we work.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is commercially driven, people-focused and passionate about helping teams and individuals perform at their best.
