We are looking for motivated and dynamic Nursing Support Workers to join our dedicated team in the Acute Medical Assessment Unit (AMAU) Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.
AMAU is a hub of activity, we provide the key to safe effective patient treatment and flow. We manage medical patients and receive all medical emergencies via ambulance within the locality. Our aim is to provide seamless, high quality care for patients using our service.
The unit is made up of 24 beds and includes 3 resus beds where we are able to directly admit emergency patients from the ambulances, GP surgeries, Minor Injuries Unit, SDEC and Outpatient services within Prince Philip Hospital.
There is an opportunity to learn new skills and gain further experience in caring for acutely unwell patients while developing professionally within a positive and challenging environment.
The unit operates a variety of shift patterns to suit service requirements including days/night rotation.

The unit requires Nursing Support Workers who are keen to learn and able to adopt a flexible approach to work.
This role will require you to undertake delegated clinical observations and to communicate effectively.
The successful candidate will experience working within a relevant Nursing Support Worker role across AMAU and be expected to liaise with key members of the team and service users, as well as engaging in all aspects of patient care.
