We are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Admin & Accounts Practitioner to join our team. This varied role combines financial administration with general office support and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
As a key member of our finance team, you will support the smooth running of our accountancy operations by managing client administration, maintaining financial records and delivering excellent service to clients, their representatives and care home partners.
Full training on our systems will be provided, along with excellent opportunities for career development.
Key Responsibilities
Client Administration
- Coordinate the onboarding of new clients and issue client contracts.
- Maintain accurate client records and update company systems.
- Produce daily management reports.
- Liaise with care homes, clients and their representatives by phone, email and post.
- Manage incoming enquiries, correspondence and general office administration.
- Provide administrative support across the wider team.
Accounts
- Support sales ledger processes and maintain accurate customer accounts.
- Perform daily bank processing, reconciliations, and cash allocation activities
- Monitor outstanding payments and reconcile client accounts.
- Assist with monthly payroll processing using information provided by the Personnel Department.
About You
You will be organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Essential
- Previous office administration experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional approach to handling confidential information and GDPR compliance.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
Desirable
- Experience using accounting software.
- AAT or another relevant accounting qualification (qualified or part-qualified).
