About the Role
DPD Courier Service Ltd is seeking reliable, self-motivated, and independent Self-Employed Courier Drivers to deliver parcels to homes and businesses across the Leicester area.
This is a fast-paced multi-drop role, averaging 90 to 150 stops per day depending on your working hours. If you love being on the road, take pride in great customer service, and want to earn a competitive daily rate with excellent vehicle support, we want to hear from you.
What We Provide
Vehicle & Fuel: Company van and fuel card provided.
Zero Maintenance Costs: All van maintenance and running expenses are fully covered by the company.
On-Site Parks: Free on-site parking and access to the depot canteen.
Key Responsibilities
Safely load, transport, and deliver parcels to residential and commercial addresses.
Manage a high volume of deliveries (90–150 stops) efficiently and within tight time schedules.
Safely handle and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.
Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude on the road and at the doorstep.
Utilize handheld delivery technology and basic digital scanning systems daily.
Candidate Requirements
Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence (registered to your current address, preferably clean).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of driving experience (1 year of multi-drop delivery experience is preferred, but not essential).
Right to Work: Valid proof of your right to work in the UK.
Background Check: Must be willing to undergo a standard DBS check (ideally holding a DBS certificate dated within the last 3 months).
Skills: Strong communication skills, basic computer/smart device literacy, and the ability to use your own initiative under pressure.
Flexibility: A positive attitude toward driving in peak traffic, with a willingness to work some weekends and overtime.
Hours, Schedule & Benefits
Shifts: Typically 10-hour day shifts (Monday to Friday, with weekend availability required).
