Production Operative
We are looking for reliable and detail-focused Production Operatives to join our growing manufacturing operation at our Nottingham site in NG16.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a developing team and play an important role in establishing efficient ways of working as the site continues to grow. You will help manufacture high-quality made-to-measure blinds while ensuring orders are completed accurately, safely and on time.
Previous experience manufacturing blinds is not required, as full training will be provided. However, experience within a production, manufacturing or warehouse environment would be beneficial.
The Role
As a Production Operative, you will work across different areas of the manufacturing process depending on business requirements. You will use industrial machinery, hand tools and production equipment to manufacture and prepare products to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing and assembling products accurately and efficiently
- Operating machinery, equipment and hand tools safely
- Working from measurements, instructions and production requirements
- Checking completed products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Working towards daily production targets and deadlines
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Supporting supervisors and other colleagues when required
- Reporting any product quality, machinery or safety concerns
- Helping to create a positive and supportive working environment as the team develops
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing or warehouse work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable and organised approach to work
- The ability to complete practical and repetitive tasks
- Confidence using machinery, equipment or hand tools, although training will be provided
- Experience using pallet trucks or lifting equipment would be beneficial
- Reliable transport to travel to the site
